Strahd, Paladin Oaths, and Luxarrah Awaits

Happy Monday everyone!  Today I have some information about whats gone on in the past week and some news about what's coming up.  Last week was the second full week into post-OGL/SRD times and a ton has been going on in the community.  For my part, I have been working my ass off on some products of my own to add to the ever growing DMs Guild.  As a result, I spent yesterday morning uploading my initial versions of two paladin oaths.  They are available for pay what you want, and I thank those of you who have already supported me by paying for these archetypes.

For those curious the two archetypes are the Oath of the Pilgrimage and the Oath of Arcane Censure.  The Oath of the Pilgrimage is a different take on the paladin, giving him some social capabilities and having him become a wanderer.  He is meant to be played as a leader or group face, helping them overcome challenges through social interaction and a it of diplomacy.  The Oath of Arcane Censure, on the other hand, is a bit more in line with a standard paladin.  A knight in shining armor, seeking to stamp out evil in the world.  This specific oath focuses on corrupt mortals, though.  Power hungry wizards and the horrible creations of long dead mages are the focus of a paladin who takes up the Oath of Arcane Censure.  This archetype has a lot of anti-spellcaster ability and bonus spells that help counteract an interaction with evil casters.

Something else that happened in the past week was the announcement for Curse of Strahd, the next adventure for 5E D&D.  I have purchased Elemental Evil and Out of the Abyss, but this is the first supplement I am really looking forward to.  In fact, I am hoping to actually run this as opposed to using it as a resource.  Hopefully we can make that happen, and perhaps we will even get it into Brave New Worlds.

Finally some Brave New Worlds news.  Last Friday saw the conclusion to the podcast's pilot session.  For the first part of Kobolds Ate My Baby you can go here.  For the conclusion you can go here.  This Friday you will get a character creation episode for Alpacalypse Now, our Gamma World game.  After that look forward the the official start of the Brave New Worlds main campaign, joining our heroes into the world of Luxarrah.  Watch my twitter page for tidbits about the world and look forward to more information appearing here.  And for anyone worried about it, and not wanting character creation episodes, Brave New Worlds will go straight into the action.  The characters don't know each other, the players don't know who is making what, and you'll learn it all along with them!
