Hello and happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Everyone be sure to give thanks to their merciful game masters for not attacking the party with hordes of dire turkeys. This week I don't have anything substantial going up, but I did want to let everyone know what kind of article schedule I am hoping to do moving forward. As of right now, I have managed to kick it up to two articles a week. Tuesday has been random articles, mainly about being a DM, but other thoughts have been included. This will continue going forward. Additionally, I will continue posting resources on Thursdays. This will either be 3 resources fitting a theme of some kind to add to the list or will be a review of a game, book, or some other related item.
Changes in the schedule are going to include articles on Monday. These articles will change throughout each month and may be up as early as a Friday, but I will be sure to share them in the communities on Mondays. On the first Monday of each month you guys will get a slide show with short description of our ongoing Pandemic Legacy game. It will feature the same players, very likely playing the same roles, every month and will, essentially, be an apocalypse-avoidance campaign arc. Maybe apocalypse-postpone-the-inevitable-death-of-everyone is a better description, we're not doing too well. The second and fourth Mondays of each month is when I plan on adding home brew setting information. I have a lot now, but the amount I have been producing is slowing and I don't want to run out, so I will trickle feed decent portions onto the site.
Finally we have what may have caught some of your attentions. I cannot promise when we will start being able to share them, but we are going to have an actual-play / real-play podcast coming online soon. My goal is to have it available on Soundcloud and iTunes and to begin posting episodes the third Monday of every month starting in January. This may get delayed because starting a campaign can be easy or tough around the holidays, it is really 50/50 in either direction. But below you will find a preview of it, a kind of opening crawl in the works that all the players will get before we begin. More info to come but I thought a little tidbit would be nice.
Brave New Worlds
The earth shudders beneath your feet. An earthquake somewhere? Perhaps. You feel a tingle in the air, chills running down your spine. Must be a cold breeze. Right? Then you begin to feel that twitch, the taste in your mouth like when you lick a 9-volt as a kid, a feeling like you're being watched. Now you stop. Something is wrong. You have seen some strange things before, but only once have you responded to something like this before. Sweat begins to bead on your head as you look around, but all you notice is that everyone else shakes their heads. They have felt it too, whatever it was, but they don’t understand the implication. To be fair, neither do you. Formless monsters, indescribable sights, living nightmares. None have appeared. You feel better for a moment and realize how much worse you feel not knowing what it was.
