Brave New Worlds Episode 1: Kobolds Ate My Baby

We're finally here folks, the release of the Brave New Worlds actual play podcast.  The first episode features the first part of Kobolds At My Baby.  This was our pilot recording session and there is a bit of quirkiness to the audio, but it didn't come out to bad.  In this episode we make characters and they head out of their caves to go hunt babies...err food, well they're the same thing for kobolds aren't they.  Next week you will get the conclusion of the night's adventure and the results of our kobolds' misadventures.

I also have some information on the coming episodes of Brave New Worlds.  If you have been paying attention to the twitter feed, we recorded the first session of a Gamma World campaign that has been years in the making (in that we had the idea for it a long time ago).  It is titles Alpacalypse Now! and describes the tribulations of post-event mutants when humanoid alpacas worshiping the ancient blood gods of Central America sweep the countryside building decrepit ziggurats and sacrificing innocents.

This recording went much better and we're down to tweaking the mic sensitivity to boost overall unedited quality.  The session will probably come in two parts, and the adventure arc will total probably 5-6 episodes from 2-3 sessions.  These will be completed over the next month or so.  Between episodes of this you will get another episode or two of KAMB and a session of The End of The World.

If you have been reading this wondering where the podcast's namesake campaign is do not worry!  I am quickly working out the world on which their first adventure will take place on and the overall cosmology of things.  The first week in February should see our first recording and, should we develop a nice backlog of these short arcs and one shots, you will definitely see that game take priority.  Nevertheless, expect to see one 45-75 minute episode every Friday evening uploading between 5 and 7 EST.
